Sump trays made of GRP

Sump trays made of GRP (glass fibre reinforced plastic) and why they are ideal for storing materials hazardous to the environment.

General advantages of GRP

GRP stands for "glass-fibre reinforced plastic". A high grade composite material, consisting of polyester resin reinforced with glass fibre matting.
In many application areas, where maximum rigidity and low weight are required, GRP is the best solution.
GRP is extremely stable and lightweight. Independent research has shown that rigidity remains unaffected even after many decades.
In addition, GRP products offer can withstand intense fire - without developing leaks.

It has been proven, that GRP is the ideal material for economical storage and secure transport:

  • GRP products are extremely robust due to their permanent stability and absolute resistance to corrosion
  • Long-term weather resistance enables many years of outdoor use
  • Low weight is particularly advantageous for transport and assembly
  • Smooth interior and exterior surfaces make GRP products easy to clean
  • GRP products are absolutely UV resistant
  • GRP products offer good burning behaviour and high chemical resistance
  • Temperature resistant from -30 °C to +40 °C

GRP enables us to offer the optimum solution for your storage and transport requirements.

Sump trays made of GRP

GRP sump trays are ideal for the storage of environmentally hazardous substances.

GRP is a commonly used material for the storage of environmentally hazardous substances. The thermoset structure in conjunction with glass fibre reinforcement yields a good burning behaviour and high chemical resistance. GRP sump trays combine the properties of steel and plastic. Due to their absolute corrosion resistance, GRP sump trays may be placed directly on the ground. The particularly low overall height simplifies handling in operations. All sump trays made of glass fibre reinforced plastic (GRP) with general certification Z-40.12-227 from the DIBt (German Institute for Construction Technology) for regulation compliant storage of highly water hazardous substances.

Sump trays made of GRP wt$
  • Extremely good price/performance ratio
  • Highly versatile - e.g. for used oil, acid and alkaline solutions
  • Absolute corrosion resistance
  • Low overall height, as no floor clearance is required (cf. steel sump trays)
  • Minimum monitoring requirements, no additional checking of the tray shelf (cf. steel sump trays)

Comparison of suitability of materials for sump trays (confirmed by independent experts) with various examples of common media in industrial facilities and factories.
